Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded. If you are new to the tool, follow these steps in order.
1
See what the tool can do
Press 📊 Load Sample Data to replace everything with a demo portfolio of projects. Then scroll down the page:
- Project selector — step through the projects with ← Prev and Next →, or pick one from 📋 Project List.
- Project Details — code, status, client, location, duration, planned and actual salary and direct costs, invoicing, receipts, debtors, scope, issues and mitigation for the selected project, with charts.
The first time you open the tool (when there is no data of yours in this browser) the sample is loaded for you, so you can see how it works straight away. Replace it with your own entries, press + New Project / Clear All to start empty, or load your saved project.
Load Sample Data replaces the data in the tool. Save your own work first.
2
See how the data file looks
Press ⬇ Export Table (.csv). It downloads every project as one row in a CSV file that opens in Excel, with these columns:
| Column | What to enter | Example |
|---|
| Row Label, Project Code, Status, Client, Location, Duration | Project details | PRJ-014 |
| Planned Salary, Planned Direct, Fee (Planned) | Planned amounts | 1200000 |
| Actual Salary, Actual Direct, Actual Cost, Contribution | Actual amounts (Actual Cost and Contribution are calculated) | |
| Invoiced, Not Invoiced, Receipts, Debtors | Billing figures | |
| Scope, Issues, Mitigation Measures | Text | |
3
Enter your own data and import it
Put one project per row under the heading row. You can import the Excel file (.xlsx) directly, or a CSV. Then press ⬆ Import Table (.csv) and choose the file.
- Columns are matched by their heading names, so keep the headings (their order does not matter). Headings from common finance exports (e.g. "Prj Code", "Sum of Salary Cost 1") are also recognised.
- Enter amounts as plain numbers.
- Import replaces the whole portfolio.
4
Save your project and open it later
💾 Save Project (.json) saves all projects in the portfolio in one .json project file. 📂 Load Project opens that file again, on any computer.
The note beside the Save button tells you whether you have unsaved changes or when you last saved. If you try to close or leave the page with unsaved changes, the browser asks you to confirm first (not needed when Autosave is ticked, because your work is kept in this browser).
Use the project file for backups and for sharing with colleagues. Don't edit it by hand.
5
Print, PDF and report
- 🖶 Print / Save as PDF prints a one-page A3 landscape report for the selected project. To get a PDF, choose Save as PDF as the printer in the print dialog.
- 📄 Generate Report opens a formatted project report in a new tab, where you can print it or save it with ⇩ Download HTML. If nothing opens, allow pop-ups for this site.
6
Other buttons and options
- Autosave in this browser (tick box) — while ticked, your work is kept automatically in this browser and comes back the next time you open the page. It stays only on this computer and browser. It is not a backup; use Save Project for that.
- 👁 View Current Data shows every project in one worksheet.
- + New Project adds a new project to the portfolio.
- Clear All removes every project (it asks first; this cannot be undone).
